Lead Pastor

Pastor Jacob joined us in the summer of 2020. Along for this new adventure is his wife, son, and their two dogs. Being adopted himself, foster care and adoption are close to their hearts. In 2023, Pastor Jacob and Malorie adopted their two oldest children.

Pastor Jacob has had the opportunity to speak at the Outreach Summit and Online Church Conference. He is also completing his Doctorate from Western Seminary.

 The more important stuff is that Pastor Jacob was born in Des Moines, Iowa and loves living here. When the weather is warm he spends his time outdoors, completing triathlons, and camping. In the winter he transitions into video games and binge watching shows with family. He also enjoys woodworking and He and Malorie most often can be found enjoying time spent with their children, dogs, eating out at one of many local restaurants, and getting connected with those in our community.

Worship Director

Dawson Westfall joined us in the summer of 2024. He is currently a student at Des Moines Area Community College majoring in Psychology. Dawson grew up in Boone, Iowa and graduated from there before heading to the DMACC campus in Boone. 

Dawson’s primary passion that isn’t ministry is music. He spends most of his time playing, listening, or researching about music. He loves his guitars and is always wanting to talk about whatever music he is into at that moment. When Dawson isn’t doing anything musical, he loves to watch movies or tv shows, play video games, or find concerts to go to.
